Kerry Vows to Support Yorkshire Businesses after Appointment to Trade Body
Castle Employment Group MD Kerry Hope has pledged to help take businesses forward in her new position with an influential Yorkshire organisation. Kerry has joined the board of the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, which provides essential support and advice and lobbies government on behalf of the region.
Kerry was delighted to take up the invitation to the board after more than 10 years as an active member of the organisation. She said: “The chamber is a voice for local business, connecting, supporting and representing people and business across Yorkshire, which is exactly the same as our purpose as a recruitment agency. Their aim is to support business to grow and that resonates strongly with our strategy of going for growth for our business and our clients. What we do and what they do totally align.”
The West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce provides support to start-ups and helps established businesses in areas such as securing finance, accessing training and trading globally. Castle have been members of the chamber for well over 10 years and Kerry has previously held a leadership position with the York and North Yorkshire Chamber, one of three local chambers sitting under the regional organisation. Her appointment to the West and North Yorkshire board follows a period of significant growth for Castle, including the expansion of its Leeds office.
Kerry added: “There’s so much the chamber offers that can really benefit businesses. I’m excited about helping to move it forward. As business leaders, we face challenges all the time so I’m certain we can help support members of the chamber by sharing our experiences and expertise.”
James Mason, chief executive of the West and North Yorkshire Chamber, said: “Kerry will bring a huge amount of experience and expertise to our board. She has a vast amount of knowledge and understanding of North Yorkshire and the array of world class businesses that contribute to many local communities. We are delighted she is joining the team.”
